Zurich’s cross-city rail link, Durchmesserlinie (DML), has been completed. The EUR 1.85 billion project involved the commissioning of two bridges- Letzigraben and Kohledreieck bridges, that extend the line from Löwenstrasse station to Altstetten.
The completion of Löwenstrasse –Altstetten line included the construction of 9.6 km of new line that will be put into operation within the 2016 timetable change.
The project includes the expansion of Oerlikon station that will be completed in 2017.
