Railway operator Zeljeznice Republike Srpske could become next year a holding company with three subsidiaries, according to the company’s acting director Dragan Savanovic.
The first subsidiary would be in charge of track maintenance, rail facilities and traffic management, the second would be responsible for the transport of passengers and goods and the third would be a common company in charge of the legal and economic affairs of the two subsidiaries.
The measure is included in the company’s restructuring plan. In order to implement it, the management board must put together by September a business plan and bring the company within the framework of the entity’s law on railway operators, Savanovic said.
