Zambia Railways Limited (ZRL) is set to increase its revenue base due to “the booming business” being generated by the rehabilitated railway. Following the modernization of significant lines of the network, the company has attracted business from major freight transporters, said Minister of Transport, Yamfwa Mukanga.
In the first quarter of 2014, Zambia Railways incurred losses amounting to more than K15 million (USD 2.5m).
