Transmashholding has announced that it has delivered 8 metro cars to Yekaterinburg metro under the contract signed in February envisaging the supply of two 4-car metro trains.
The cars, manufactured by Metrovagonmash, are designed for speeds of 90 km/h, fitted with 48 seats and can accommodate 330 passengers.
The car’s doorway is equipped with a warning on-board closing alarm and the sliding doors are fitted with an automatic opening system. In the end part of the car there is a place for passengers with limited mobility.
The trains are equipped with video surveillance system and the driver’s cab has a modern control panel, offering all information is needed for a safe transport service.
Metrovagonmash has been cooperating with the Ekaterinburg metro since 2011.
