Wiener Linien and krauth technology signed a contract for the supply of at least 450 to 550 mobile ticket vending machines for trams. krauth automates type 0328WL will be operated in all Vienna’s trams. The constructional conditions inside the trams entail demanding hardware requirements for the automates. A completely new housing design is necessary.
“I am so proud that we managed to convince Wiener Linien from our outstanding know-how in the field of ticket vending machines. The reduced space inside the trams and the predetermined stops initially had been a very demanding challenge. Two years ago, orders of this size still had been almost out of reach for us,” Kai Horn, a member of the krauth management team said.
