The Danish train operator, Nordjyske Jernbaner, awarded VR FleetCare a contract covering maintenance of bogies and pneumatic components of the Alstom Coradia Lint series trains during the years 2024–2029.

The maintenance of bogies and pneumatic components will be carried out at VR FleetCare’s Component Services locations in Helsinki and Pieksämäki that specialise in the restoration of train bogies and other rail components. The agreement includes the restoration of bogies as well as pneumatic components. The first 14 train sets will be maintained between 2024–2026, and the following 5 train sets in 2029.

Since 2017, Nordjyske Jernbaner won the contract to deliver regional services from Skørping to Frederikshavn taking over the responsibility from state-owned DSB. During the takeover, a further 13 new Coradia Lint trainsets manufactured by Alstom were deployed, which now, together with the 8 Desiro trainsets from Siemens Mobility and 4 Coradia Lint trains from 2021, serve the lines Skagen – Skørping and Hirtshals – Hjørring.
Coradia Lint trains are capable of running at 140 km/h and have a total of 125 seats and up to 135 places for standing passengers.
