In the first 11 months of 2014, the volume of cargo transported by rail in Latvia totaled 51.4 million tons, a 1.7% increase on the first 11 months of 2013.
The volume of transit freight transported through Latvian ports increased 4.1% to 42.54 million tons. Export cargoes by rail increased by 7.1% to 2.5 million tons, while import cargoes reduced by 5.2% to 3.6 million tons.
Domestic transportation volumes increased 5.3% to 1.14 million tons.
