UVZ-Logistic and Freight One may unite their fleets, according to the “Vedomosti”. The companies are allegedly negotiating this solution.
In case the merger will go through, Freight One would pay UVZ-Logistic’s debts to Sberbank Leasing (approx. 975 million euros) on freight car leasing contracts. UVZ-Logistic’s General Director Dmitry Eremeev confirmed that his company is in negotiations with Freight One and other companies but did not disclose further details.
Freight One is Russia’s largest freight car operator. UVZ-Logistic is controlled by Uralvagonzavod, Russia’s largest freight car manufacturer, and is the plant’s largest freight car customer.
