In the first six months of 2018, the volume of UTLC ERA’s container traffic on the China-Europe-China route exceeded 100 thousand TEU, which is 40% higher than the same period last year. In June, the company reached a record figure of 22 thousand TEUs.
“The first half ended in a record June. Last year, the volume level of 20 thousand TEUs per month was overcome only in December and furthermore we experienced significant difficulties on the border with the EU. Last month, we transported 22 thousand TEUs without any restrictions, and therefore we feel a large margin of safety for future growth,” Alexey Grom, the President of UTLC ERA said.
Since the beginning of 2018 on the route China-Europe-China on the services of UTLC ERA were sent 1287 trains.
The geography of company’s customers is developing not only in China, but also in Europe, as the company developed (in 2017) train correspondence between China and Germany, France, England. UTLC launched new routes both ways China-Europe and Europe- China, from Prague to Yiwu and from Zhenqzhou to Malashevich (Poland). If in 2016 UTLC had only 10 China provinces, in 2017 it can already ship goods from 20 (out of 22 all in all in China).
