dorsaVi Ltd has announced that Network Rail Ltd will use dorsaVi’s ViSafe to better understand movement associated with the work undertaken by its overhead contact system and track maintenance teams.
Network Rail (High Speed) Ltd are contracted to maintain and manage the track, infrastructure and three main stations along the route from the Channel Tunnel to St Pancras and place great focus on the safety and welfare of its workforce. To that end, they have moved to introduce ViSafe technology to objectively measure the stress and strain undertaken by its track and overhead contact system teams.
This is the second major rail network to use ViSafe in the UK, after Transport for London, the operator of the London Underground rail network.
