Transmashholding (TMH) is ready to manufacture “short” EMUs for RZD starting from 2016. Earlier RZD President Vladimir Yakunin said that his company needs 1-2 car trains.
“We have just discussed this question with Kirill [Lipa, Transmashholding General Director]”, Vladimir Yakunin said. “This goal was set and Kirill is saying that TMH will manufacture this rolling stock next year”.
Transmashholding is the largest rolling stock manufacturer in Russia and CIS. The company is owned by OAO RZD (25%), Alstom (25%), TransGroup and entrepreneurs Iskander Makhmudov and Andrey Bokarev.
