Transmash (Transportnoye Mashinostroyeniye), part of Transmashholding, completed the supply of the last batch of Model 13-9744-02 flat cars designed for transportation of multi-tonnage containers and timber cargos to TransContainer. Model 13-9744-02 flat car makes it possible to transport 20 ft and 40 ft containers, timber with a length of 3 to 13.2 m, steel pipes with a diameter of 350 to 1200 mm (both PE-coated and uncoated), and metal sheet packs.
The supply contract for 800 flat cars was signed on 30 March 2017, following the results of tender won by Transmash. The total contract value was 1.98 billion rubles (28 million euros). Transmash and TransContainer have maintained a strategic partnership for over 10 years, during which Transmash has supplied more than 6,000 flat cars of various models to TransContainer.
