Application is now open for the 5th CEE Logistics and Supply Chain Management Excellence Award!
TRANSLOG Connect Congress is the most important international business summit in the CEE region for logistics and supply chain management professionals. Each year, the congress accommodates the award ceremony of the CEE Logistics and Supply Chain Management Excellence Award at the Corinthia Hotel in Budapest. The winners of the award receive an honourable recognition by the industry.
The jury, consisting of international experts, evaluates proven solutions based on the level of innovation, flexibility, sustainability, cost effectiveness and customer value-contribution. This promotes a contribution to the dynamic development of the CEE region from a logistics, transportation and supply chain management perspective. Start-ups, small and big organizations, manufacturers, retailers and solution providers are all welcome to apply for the award with a project that was implemented in one of the countries within the region. The application should contain the description of the innovative method or technique, aims of the project, development stages, implementation, achieved results as well as an executive summary.
Jury members include Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kummer, Head of the Institute for Transport and Logistics Management at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, Anna Sparty, Supply Chain Director Eastern Europe at Beiersdorf, Gábor Kiss, Head of Supply Chain Management at METRO, Andrzej Paszko, Head of Global Transport at TPV Technology Group – TP Vision – Distribution, Alexis Antonelli, Head of Plant Production Control and Logistics at Faurecia Automotive Seating Plzeň and Stefan Putzlocher, Head of Global Warehouse and Facility Planning, Global Service and Parts (GSP) at Daimler.

In 2016 at TRANSLOG Connect Blulog, the French-Polish company won the 4th CEE Logistics and Supply Chain Excellence Award in the solution provider category thanks to their innovative solution for precise temperature and humidity monitoring control during transportation. In the manufacturer category the Serbian company InterCLEAN won the prize for developing an innovative method to find and book transportation of goods easily and efficiently in a short period of time.
Not only have these markets required supply chain efficiency, but also agility and flexibility. For this reason, it is inevitable for the applicants to present a solution that incorporates a blend of automation and digital technologies in pursuance of achieving outstanding results. It is clear, that the new processes engender innovation and cost-effectiveness, yet they can also encourage heightened competition due to the accelerated pace of modernization in the market.
The professional business meeting, organized annually by TEG The Events Group, was initially designed for leading industry experts, not only to learn more about new services and solutions during one-to-one meetings with service providers, but also to gain most up-to-date insights on trends during high-class presentations, to share knowledge and to further stimulate the effectiveness of business in general.
On the first day of the 7th TRANSLOG Connect Congress, on the 22nd of November 2017, the awarded solutions will be announced and crowned with an international recognition. The winners of the Excellence Award will have the unique chance to put their most outstanding products, services or best practices in the spotlight, by presenting their project to an audience of over 400 logistics and supply chain management professionals and senior decision makers from over 20 countries, not to mention the media appearance in both local and international press.
3rd of October 2017 is the deadline for submitting the applications.
