The total cost of the procurement is estimated at RON 170 million (EUR 36.17 million), but the contract will not be divided on lots. No framework agreement will be signed either. The deadline for receiving bids or calls for participation is 6 March 2019. The submitted bid must be valid until 6 September 2019.
The attribution criteria follow the best price – performance ratio, therefore the financial component will have a share of 80%, while the technical component will have a share of 20%.

Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration also launched the tender for the procurement of 13 bi-directional trams, almost 18-m long, for Resita. The total cost of the public procurement is estimated at RON 118.96 million (EUR 26.3 million), but the contract will not be divided on lots. No framework agreement will be signed either. 16 new trams for Iasi
Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration launched the tender for the procurement of 16 new trams, 30-m long, for the city of Iasi. The total cost of the public procurement is estimated at RON 184 million (EUR 38.61 million). However, the contract will not be divided on lots. No framework agreement will be signed either. The deadline for receiving bids or calls for participation is 12 March 2019.
The submitted bid must be valid until 12 September 2019.

Trams will have a minimum transport capacity of 55 people on fix seats of which at least six seats accessible from low floor. Trams will have a total transport capacity of 165 standing passengers.
Like the other procedures announced by the Romanian Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration for the cities of Braila, Galati, Ploiesti, Resita, Craiova, the tram procurement procedure for Iasi will also be financed through the Regional Operational Programme – POR.
On 2-3 April 2019, Club Feroviar and the Romanian Railway Industry Association (AIF) will organise the rolling stock conference in Craiova. Participants will debate on topics such as procurement of new electric units in Romania or new tram procurement tenders announced for Braila, Galati, Ploiesti, Craiova, Arad, Timisioara, Resita and Iasi.
We will also talk about the modernisation of the whole passenger and freight railway transport system, and the rolling stock manufacturing and overhaul industry will keep us informed about their latest products.
