RB Rail has announced a design tender for the design of the next 139 km of the Rail Baltica in Latvia, which would form the line’s North and South sections. 5 August is the deadline for the application.
The first lot envisages 94 km between Vangaži and Latvia-Estonia state border and includes 3 railway viaducts and 36 road viaducts, 13 bridges, 119 culverts, 3 animal crossings and regional stations with passing loops in Salacgrīva, Skulte and Ādaži.
The second lot covers a 45 km long section from Misa to the Latvia-Lithuania state border and includes 4 railway viaducts and 16 road viaducts, 4 bridges, 1 animal crossing, 54 culverts and regional stations in Bauska and Iecava.
Both lots are being tendered under one procurement procedure but shall be contracted individually with the winning contractors to deliver design and design supervision services for the construction of railway track substructure, superstructure as well as related civil structures on the new standard gauge high speed double track electrified railway line.
We remind you that in July, two design contracts were signed for 123 km of Rail Baltica in Latvia.
