Czech rail infrastructure manager, SŽDC, has completed the reconstruction of the railway station building in Příbram, under a EUR 347.017 (CZK 8.9 million investment). The project is part of company’s programme on the rail station improvements in Central Bohemia region.
The project envisaged the reconstruction of building’s entrances, repair works on the façade, the installation of a new information system as well as the replacement of safety and signalling components, and the modernisation of the waiting room for passengers and other services facilities.
In 2018, SŽDC plans to invest EUR 8 million (CZK 207 million) in the preparation and implementation of repairs or reconstruction works of station buildings in Central Bohemia and Prague. Under the project, EUR 2 million will be invested in Prague rail station and EUR 4.6 million in Central Bohemia railway stations.
This year, repairs of railway stations in Kolín, Hořovice or Nelahozeves will be completed or launched in the region.
Besides repair works, preparation of more extensive projects continues this year and next year we will implement the proiority projects,” Tomáš Drmola, Deputy Director General for Asset Management at SŽDC said.
In 2017, SŽDC announced the intention to launch a programme for the reconstruction and revitalization of passenger stations, which will be carried out between 2018 and 2022. EUR 382 million are extimated to be invested in the identified projects.
