Stadler and Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) have signed the EUR 600 million contract for the supply of 127 metro trains with two options for 25 additional trains each.
The first vehicles will enter passenger service from 2023, are scheduled for service at the world’s largest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
For Stadler, this is the largest single order for vehicles in the company’s history.
The transport authority awarded the contract in March 2019, and the signing of the contract represents its confirmation for the train order.
