Transmashholding has presented the newly developed metro train for St. Petersburg that will be put into service on Line 1.
The train was designed under the specifications developed by experts of St. Petersburg metrou and consists in 8 cars and are fitted with bi-level microprocessor-based control, safety and diagnostics system, CCTV system and ventilation system.
In August 2015, Oktyabrsky Electric Railway Car Repair Plant (OEVRZ) owned by Transmashholding and St. Petersburg Metrou signed a contract for the supply of twenty 8-cars trains. Deliveries are to be completed in 2020.
