Railway freight operator Srbija Kargo expects a sharp increase in operations, the company’s acting director Miroljub Jevtic said. This increase is forecast to come on the back of a rise in transported goods produced by steel mill Zelezara Smederevo after its recent sale to China’s Hebei Iron and Steel.
Srbija Kargo expects to transport some five to six million tonnes of cargo for the needs of its steel mill client alone, as compared to one million tonnes at present.
