Metropolitan, the state-owned operator of Sofia’s subway, opened a 45 million lev (23 million euros) tender for the construction of a station and a section of the third line of the city’s subway.
The contract envisages the design and construction of the first station on the third line, which is planned to start at the end of January, and the rail track to the next station. The planned subway station will have an area of some 5,000 sq m.
The works should be completed within 36 months. Bids should be submitted by 1 March.
