The central railway station in Sofia reopened after a 62 million levs (31.7 million euros) reconstruction project. The EU-funded project included energy efficiency and security upgrades, as well as the addition of a multipurpose hall, a food corner, a waiting room for disabled people and a playground. The project is financed under the Operational Programme Transport.
The construction works were carried out by a tie-up led by local construction company Glavbolgarstroy.
