IDTGV, a SNCF subsidiary, has put to sale a monthly season tickets worth EUR 60 with limitless journeys to about 40 destinations, especially to the south and west of the country. Only 10,000 such season tickets have been put to sale. The measure will ensure revenues of EUR 720,000 per year and would contract the competition from the car-sharing services. According to Madame Rachel Picard, Manager of Voyages SNCF, “18% of the IDTGV passengers would have chosen other mode of transport, if this offer had not existed”.
