On 28 September, SNCF began tests on the second phase of TGV Est when TGV 744 run at speeds of up to 160km/h on the Baudrecourt – Vendenheim line (106km). SNCF intends to perform 200 test runs in the next three months with a gradual increase of speed to 352km/h.
According to the schedule, commercial services will be launched on January 15, 2016.
