As part of its multimodality strategy, Belgian railway operator SNCB will significantly increase the number of bicycle parking spaces in its stations by 2032 (+30%, for a total number of 164,000).
In this context, the bicycle parking spaces in a number of stations will also be equipped with repair terminals equipped with a pump and various tools to easily repair your bike.
SNCB is developing its stations into intermodal platforms where passengers can easily switch from one mode of transport to another (two-wheelers, bus, tram, metro, car). Passengers now have the tools to repair their bikes as quickly as possible.
Such terminals have already been installed in the Duffel and Enghien stations.
During the months of August and September, bicycle repair stations will be installed in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels. In Wallonia, this concerns the stations of Braine l’Alleud, Braine-le-Comte, Jurbise, Louvain-la-Neuve, Luttre, Mouscron, Nivelles, Soignies and Waterloo.
In Brussels, this will concern the stations of Etterbeek and Jette.
