Slovenia’s state budget revenue for 2017 is forecast at around EUR 8.8 billion, an increase of 5% compared to the estimated figure for 2016. The mid-term budget frame expenses are set at EUR 9.5 billion, or 3.8% higher than this year.
Investments in infrastructure will total EUR 522 million in 2017 and EUR 595 million in 2018, significantly more than the estimate for the current year, which stands at EUR 441 million. Investments in road traffic and infrastructure will receive EUR 166 million in 2017 and 2018, respectively, while railway traffic and infrastructure works will receive EUR 158 million in 2017 and EUR 206 million a year later.
Slovenia’s central bank has said that budget deficit fell to 2.9% in 2015, from 4.9% in the previous year.
