Trials being conducted at the Changi Airport Line for a new rail signalling system are almost complete and rail operator SMRT said the trials have shown promising results. At USD 195 mln this is considered as one of the largest signalling improvements projects in the world. The signalling system is provided by Thales Solutions Asia.
Changi Airport Line is part of the East-West Line, which is currently the longest train line in operation in Singapore and consists of a mix of underground and above ground stations (49km and 35 stations).
