Siemens will open a service depot in Vladimir Oblast to provide maintenance for the Sapsan (Velaro RUS) and Lastochka (Desiro RUS) trains, according to Oblast Governor Svetlana Orlova.
Siemens is currently preparing documents to rent the land plot. Until the end of 2016, the first phase of the project will be completed, Inna Khromenkova, Acting Director of the Vladimir Oblast Department for Investments and Foreign Trade, said. In total, there are three phases to be completed within 51 months. The ROI of the project is five years; the depot will provide maintenance for 6,000 cars yearly.
