Siemens Mobility India will equip, over the next 3 years, 315 km of the Indian rail network with the axle counter system ACM200.
The Clearguard ACM200 axle counting system is a smart track vacancy detection system for cost-effective operations. It is made up of maintenance-free Clearguard ACM 200 modules, which are programmed via an ID plug and combined with an Ethernet bus and proven ZP D 43 wheel detection equipment into a fail-safe axle counting system.
Data from 3,206 detection points will monitor the whole system’s condition to reduce costs and increase availability.
In December, the Ministry of Railways has approved the multi section digital axle counter model ACM200, that shall be installed as indoor equipment.
