167 km of railway lines will be reconstructed this year using the proceeds of the Russian loan, Serbian Transport Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said.
The implementation of the agreement between Serbia and Russia on the loan was the most important task for the new Government as well, Mihajlovic explained.
The minister spoke with the director of the Russian railway company RZD International, Sergey Pavlov, about the possibility of accelerating and improving the interstate agreement on the loan for the construction of rail infrastructure and the delivery of diesel trains to Serbia.
The five-year agreement on the Russian loan has a total value of USD 940 million, including Serbia’s share of 15%.
