SBB has invested almost CHF 8 Million (EUR 7.5 Million) in the modernisation of 12 panoramic cars in the industrial sites in Olten. The project took 12 months to complete and included the complete refurbishment of the interior. The panoramic wagons are used to compose the intercity or international trains and pertain to the EuroCity train fleet whose 232 wagons have been refurbished over the past years as part of a project worth CHF 160 Million (EUR 150 Million). Most wagons have been upgraded to improve mobile telephony services.
