OAO RZD is to sign an agreement with China on the SPV company establishment in May, the Interfax quotes its sources, Russian Railway Consulting reports. The joint company is established to execute the Moscow – Kazan high-speed mainline project.
The documents are to be signed in course of the Chinese Chairman Xi Jinping’s visit to Russia.
The SPV company is to attract contractors for the railway construction and manage the project finances. OAO RZD President Vladimir Yakunin confirmed that the high-speed mainline project is on the agenda of Mr. Xi’s visit but did not comment on further details.
