Russia is still considering participating in the privatization of the Greek railway operator TrainOSE, although the Greek company’s debt burden might not be written off completely, according to First Deputy Ministry of Transport Evgeny Dietrich, quoted by TASS.
“We are consulting, and our interest in the competition is still there,” he said.
TrainOSE’s existing debt (850 mln euro) could be written off not completely, but only partially. RZD already submitted a bid for the prequalification stage of the tender for TrainOSE.
