RZD International has received an official permission for the establishment of place of business in India and opened its representative office in New Delhi. The company is considering the possibility of participating in a number of projects in India.
In October 2016 Russian Railways and Indian Ministry of Railways signed a Protocol on cooperation within the high-speed trains program, confirming the parties’ intention to join their efforts for the implementation of rehabilitation project of Nagpur – Secunderabad railway section (575 km) for increasing passenger trains speed up to 200 km/h. The contract for the survey of this railway section is being prepared by the parties.
