RZD acquired 211 locomotives in the first half of this year. The company bought 157 electric and 54 diesel locomotives. These acquisitions include: 2ES5K AC mainline freight electric locomotives (56), 2ES6 Sinara DC freight electric locomotives (55), 3ES4K DC freight electric locomotives (18), 2TE25A Vityaz AC-driven freight diesel locomotives (4), 2TE116U freight diesel locomotives (3), 3TE116U freight diesel locomotive (1) and 2TE116UD freight diesel locomotives (2).
The company also bought EP20 passenger electric locomotives (2), EP2K DC passenger electric locomotives (22) and EP1M AC passenger locomotives (4), as well as TE18DM (33) and TEM14 (11) shunting locomotives.
