Russian Ministries of Transport and Finance were directed to provide RUR 8 billion (USD 144.5 million) in 2016 for the purposes of financing the engineering survey and development of the design documentation in respect of Moscow – Kazan HSR, reports TASS.
In June, OJSC High Speed Lines, a subsidiary of Russian Railways, and a consortium of design companies with the participation of Mosgiprotrans, Nizhegorodmetroproekt and China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group Co. Ltd, signed a contract for the development of the design documentation for the construction of the Moscow – Kazan HSR. The contract is to be completed during 2015-2016 at a cost of RUR 20 billion (EUR 329 million).
