The budget of RON 4.99 billion (EUR 1.07 billion) equals the total expenditures budgeted for 2018, showing that CFR SA anticipates a zero balance between revenues and expenses. CFR SA’s draft budget for 2018 includes an investment sum of RON 3.54 billion (EUR 761 million), of which budget subsidies will amount to RON 59.1 million (EUR 12.6 million).
Costs with salaries amount to RON 1.30 billion (EUR 280 million). This year, CFR SA has outstanding payments worth RON 58 million (EUR 12.4 million).
Also, in 2018, the national rail infrastructure manager has to recover arrears worth RON 1.53 billion (EUR 329.2 million).
The Romanian Ministry of Transport submitted to the approval of the Romanian Government the draft normative act on the approval of CFR SA’s 2018 revenues and expenses budget.
The draft normative act was published on 19 February on the web site of the transport ministry. Proposals and observations could be submitted by 29 February.
