More than €7 billion is available for new infrastructure projects, upgrades and improvements on the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), involving rail, inland waterways, sea and river ports, and road infrastructure.

“This call for projects will be the largest in terms of budget available in the period 2021-2027. We are making more than €7 billion available for projects that will support a smart and sustainable transport system, with a focus on cross-border projects between Member States. The times we live in have shown us once again the importance of having a strong transport network of railways, inland waterways and maritime routes, which will increase the competitiveness of our industry, bring citizens closer to each other and firmly anchor Ukraine and Moldova in the EU.”

Romania is in a good position to attract European funds for railway infrastructure development. With an extensive railway network and significant growth potential, our country has competitive advantages for European investors.

The Railway Days Summit is an opportunity to discuss the railway investments to be implemented in the coming years.

 

The event will bring together specialists, experts and leaders in the railway sector, providing an opportunity for exchanging ideas and creating partnerships.

 

Organized by Club Feroviar, in media partnership with AGERPRES, Jurnalul de Afaceri and Railway PRO, the Railway Days – Club Feroviar Investment Summit, now in its 18th edition, will take place on 17 and 18 October at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Bucharest.

By partnering with European companies, Romania can benefit from their experience and expertise in the railway sector, as well as access to additional financial resources. European investments can contribute to the modernisation of infrastructure, the introduction of advanced technologies and the improvement of railway services, which will bring significant benefits to our economy and society.
