As of 1 July, annual tariffs for Prague public transport will be reduced. The reduction applies to both Opencard cards and classic tickets and is valid for all transport modes (tram, metro, bus). As a result, annual tickets will cost by CZK 1,000 less, from CZK 4,750 at present (EUR 173) to CZK 3,650 (EUR 132). The measure is aimed at encouraging the use of public transport modes. The company plans to encourage the use of public transport during summer when most of the passengers give up buying quarterly transport passes.
