Polish Railways, PKP PLK, has announced a PLN 63 million (EUR 14.5 million) tender for Poznan East-Trzemeszno railway modernisation. The project includes the modernisation of 9 stations and 70 km of catenary. This is the first tender under Line 353 (Poznan East-Inowrocław) modernisation project. After works completed, trains will be able to run at speeds up to 160 km/h.
Works are expected to be launched this year.
The project is part of the National Railway Program for 2016-2023, that involves EUR 15.4 billion.
