PKP Intercity presented the first 3 Flirt EMU supplied by Stadler-Newag consortium. The contract includes the delivery of 20 Flirt EMUs.
According to PKP Intercity, 15 of the EMUs have been completed and they will enter passenger service in December on four routes: Kraków – Łódź – Szczecin, Olsztyn – Warszawa – Kielce – Kraków, Warszawa – Bydgoszcz and Gdynia – Bydgoszcz – Łódź – Katowice.
The EMUs have a maximum speed of 160 km/h and are equipped with ETCS Level 2.
