PKP Cargo and Polish producer of heat and electricity PGNiG Termika signed two contracts to supply coal transport services. Based on the agreement, PKP Cargo will provide transport services in 2020, ensuring the movement of 1.97 million tonnes of coal.
The coal will be transported to Zakłady PGNiG Termika for the power stations in Siekierki, Żerań, Kawęczyn and Pruszków.
The coal will be transported using goods wagons and specialized Fa-type dumper wagons.
In 2018, PKP Cargo has transport 9,313 million tonnes of coal and the operator has a 96.9% market share on this freight type.
