PKP Cargo Connect is the newly company of the PKP Cargo Group that will offer integrated logistics services. PKP Cargo Connect will take over the sales of the PKP Cargo Group. The new company will be formed on the basis of Trade Trans Forwarding Ltd., which will be joined by the employees of PKP Cargo and Cargosped’s sales departments who offered mainly intermodal services so far.
PKP Cargo Connect will be reponsable for combining transport, transhipment, storage, customs processing and door-to-door delivery.
The new company will offer modified products such as operating trains, dedicated trains. Operating trains are regular intermodal connections between the Tricity ports and Warsaw, Poznań and Gliwice. They are run according to fixed timetables adjusted to vessels’ calls. Dedicated trains are tailor-made to the specific needs of the client. The PKP Cargo Group combines them with complementary services, including the handling, storage and warehousing of goods. Services such as the preparation of electronic waybills, checking the status of the consignment and retrieving electronic invoices are currently being developed.
