The Polish city of Olsztyn welcomed the first tram in over 50 years after Solaris delivered the first of 15 Tramino for the north-east region of Warmian-Masurian. The contract, signed in 2012 by Solaris Bus & Coach and Olsztyn Province, allows 15 Tramino to be delivered to the operator for the Olsztyn tramway.
Each tram will accommodate more than 200 passengers and provide 43 seats. Passengers will benefit from air-conditioning and improved safety through on-board CCTV. The rest of the trams will be delivered by the end of this year.
