Norway plans railway power supply projects

Over the next years, Norway infrastructure manager Bane NOR will implement several projects to improve the quality and capacity of the power supply system (converters, catenary/autotransformers, 22 kV auxiliary power supply etc.). Under the plans, company’s Energi unit will implement several projects to improve the quality and capacity of the power supply system (converters, catenary/autotransformers, 22 kV auxiliary power supply etc.). Within 2018-2030, Bane NOR Energi will execute conversion projects valuated at NOK 7 billion (EUR 725.8 million) and, in the same time, Bane NOR Construction will carry out catenary projects with a total value of NOK 17 billion (EUR 1.76 billion).
Within the supplier meeting that will be held in February, organized by the company, there will be presented the specifications and demands for catenary systems and the uture plans for railway power supply, as well as projects such as Arna-Bergen, Follo Line, Ringerike, Sandbukta-Moss-Såstad, Kleverud-Sørlie-Åkersvika, and other projects.
