The UK’s Northern Rail will invest £264,000 (€347,420) is installing new Customer Information Screens (CIS) at stations across the county.
Two of the stations to get new screens are Lostock Gralam and Cuddington which have been funded by Cheshire West and Chester Council. Working in partnership Northern and the council installed the new screens and other station improvements. The installation of the screens in the Cheshire area represents part of a £3million investment by Northern and its partners that will mean that 140 stations across the north of England will be equipped with the new technology.
Stations in the area that have benefitted from new CIS screens include Alderley Edge, Cuddington, Lostock Gralam, Knutsford, Poynton, Holmes Chapel, Northwich, Sandbach, Greenbank, Sankey for Penketh, Delamere and Padgate.
