Nomad Digital has successfully partnered the international train builder Stadler for the supply of a passenger WiFi and infotainment solution for the new EC250 ‘Giruno’ high-speed trains being built for the Swiss state rail operator SBB.
Nomad’s WiFi and infotainment solution is being installed on the new Stadler-built EC250 ‘Giruno’ trains which will travel across Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria. A key benefit for the passenger is a seamless WiFi experience delivered by Nomad’s cross-border technology promoting uninterrupted connectivity on international trains between different countries.
These state-of-the-art new networked trains have been built by Stadler with Nomad’s open connectivity infrastructure embedded. Nomad’s R3500 CCU provides a secure, robust technology platform which enables the quick integration of additional operational applications, providing a scalable, future-proofed solution to the customer.
In addition, Nomad’s connectivity platform supports an integrated passenger portal, which delivers a full passenger information system and infotainment platform, offering fully synchronised and integrated real-time journey and service information.
