Two Impuls 31WE trains manufactured by Newag S.A. for PKP Szybka Kolej Miejska in Trójmiasto were officially handed over.
The two new Impuls trains produced by Newag S.A. for SKM Trójmiasto under the contract signed on 23 March 2015 are four-unit trains with a passenger capacity of 529, including 359 standing capacity and 170 seating capacity. They differ from the Impuls 31WE trains produced so far by the number of doors and the floor level. At the carrier’s request, each car has four doors and the floor height is adapted to the SKM platform level (960mm), which is higher by 200mm as compared with the standard version of Impuls 31WE.
“We are glad that Newag’s Impuls trains will be the first brand new electric multiple units which will service the routes of SKM Trójmiasto. … Our Impuls trains are cutting-edge EMUs which stand out not only due to their design but which also provide comfortable and safe travelling conditions,” said Zbigniew Konieczek, president of Newag S.A.
