Significant progress in the construction of China-Laos bridge has been achieved. The bridge is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The elements that form the beam of the railway bridge linking Yuxi to Mohan have been completed and the beam will be installed, China Radio International informs.
The bridge is an important section of the railway linking the capital city of Kunming in Yunnan Province to Vientian, in Laos. The bridge is 1,173m long and construction works will be completed by the end of the year.
It is the first international railway line with majority Chinese investment developed according to the Chinese technological standards, being a major project of the “One Belt, One Road” Initiative. The railway will be built with Chinese equipment and will be directly integrated into the national railway network.
