Romanian rail infrastructure manager, CFR SA, has published the tender for works envisaging the duplication of the railway line that links Mogosoaia and Balotesti stations. The contract is estimated at RON 51 million (EUR 10.95 million) and will not be divided on lots. The deadline for receiving bids or requests for participation is 3 December 2018 and offers will be opened in the same day.
The design part is estimated at RON 2.66 million (EUR 570.5 thousands), while execution works are estimated at RON 48.4 million (EUR 10.4 million).
According to the contract notice, CFR SA estimates that the cost of potential additional services and works is RON 10.95 million, VAT excluded (EUR 2.35 million), costs not included in the total estimated cost.
The duration of the contract is estimated at 17 months since the attribution data so that works could be concluded in April 2020.
Works will be financed from the state budget.
The duplication of the railway linking Mogosoaia and Balotesti stations is one of CFR SA’s new investment objectives with a length of 7.90 km.
The objective is included in Romania’s General Transport Master Plan (MPGT).
The project is part of ensuring the railway connection between Gara de Nord (Bucharest Central Station) and Bucharest Henri Coanda International Airport.
“We will shortly publish the necessary documentation in SEAP (National Public Procurement Agency) considering the tight deadline by 2020. It is a major project worth EUR 82 million. We estimate the duration of the project implementation to 14 months of which 12 months will be the execution”, declared Valentin Dorobantu, Deputy General Manager CFR SA.
