Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is inviting tenders for two new metro rail projects, covering DN Nagar to Mankhurd Metro-2B and Wadala to Kasarvadavali Metro-4.
Tenders are invited for the design and construction of elevated viaducts and stations. The tenders are divided into five packages on the 23.5 km DN Nagar to Mankhurd Metro-2B corridor, with a total investment of USD 161 million.
For the 32 km Wadala – Kasarvadavali rail, the tenders include design and building an elevated viaduct and stations at a total cost of more than USD 2 billion.
Once the contracts have been finalised, work is slated to start during May or June. Work on the two new metro lines is expected to conclude by 2021.
